Kensington Alive
About the Project

Kensington Alive is a partnership between St. Stephen’s Community House and the Kensington community. Our vision is to foster a living history of Kensington Market for cultural and educational purposes. Living history is about sharing and celebrating the past, present and future of neighbourhoods and communities.

The Kensington Alive goals are:
  • To produce accessible multi-media materials and events that will promote the living history of Kensington Market. These include a web site, CD Rom, display board, walking tours and a study guide to be used in local schools.
  • To provide educational presentations about the history of Kensington Market to local schools, to the many students/visitors that come to Kensington Market and any other interested groups.
