EMPLOYMENT RESOURCE CENTRE

Our Employment Resource Centre (ERC) is open to all members of the community, and offers services that will lead to success in your search for employment and training.

The ERC offers:

• Free computer access, use of fax machines, scanners, photocopiers and telephones
• A job board, printed resources and career assessment material
• A child-friendly room with two computers for parents or guardians who are looking for work
• An Accessibility Workstation loaded with Jaws and Zoom Text to aid you in your job search
• Friendly, knowledgeable employment counsellors to help you
• Open six days a week - daily Monday to Saturday, plus Monday and Thursday evenings!

We offer a variety of free workshops to assist you in your job search:

• Interview Skills, Winning Resumes, Cover Letters, Networking, Cold Calling, Intro to Internet, Intro to Email, Personality Dimensions, and more...
• Mock Interview Sessions and Resume Clinics are held on a weekly basis. You can book time with an employment counsellor and work on your interview and resume skills on an individual basis
• Trades and Information Sessions are held on a monthly basis including Apprenticeship Information Sessions and information about the Second Career Strategy
